Frequently asked questions.

General

Do you rent to Burning Man and what do I need to know?

As '“Burners” ourselves, we would love to help you with you RV rental needs. The easiest and fastest way to view pricing and availability for Burning Man is via our website. Simply go to the ‘Book Now’ section on our website and choose your travel dates. You can even filter by vehicle type if you’d like. Anything that is not “greyed” out is available and you can view details such as full pricing, photos, etc by click on the individual unit.

A few things to note for Burning Man Rentals:

  • The rental rate is a flat fee for up to 14 days. This allows flexibility to adjust your dates if needed. With that said the “per day” price will fluctuate depending on the number of days you choose.

  • Due to the amount of high alkaline dust at Black Rock City, cleaning fees for vehicles that have visited these sights will be higher. There is a minimal non-refundable cleaning fee that is used to cover costs to steam all vents, replace filters, and remove other hard to reach dust that will remain after a thorough cleaning. If the RV is returned as clean as you got it (less the afore mentioned) then we are happy to waive any additional cleaning fees. If you do your best but you’re burned out (pun intended) and there is still cleaning that needs to be done (which is what find most often), we will charge any extra cleaning at an hourly rate.

  • Additional costs: insurance, taxes and fees.

Pick up and drop off will take place at our location in Reno, NV. We do offer delivery as far as Gerlach for a fee if this is preferred (unfortunately at this time Burning Man Org does not allow deliveries onto playa).

Do you offer delivery?

Yes. At the time of checkout you will be given the option to have your unit delivered. Pricing varies by unit type and location.

Is there a minimum or maximum number of rental days?

Yes, our standard minimum is a 3-day rental (though we have a few RVs whose minimum is set higher). Generally, we offer a maximum of 30 days per rental however if you are interested in a rental for longer than 30 days, please contact us.

Can I tow my vehicle behind a rented RV?

If you are interested in towing something behind your RV rental we are happy to discuss this with you. Please ocntact us to discuss the details prior to arriving to pick up your RV. You MUST receive authorization to tow anything behind the vehicle and there will be an additional fee to do so.

What is the process for picking up the RV?

Before your trip we will do a walkthrough with you. During this walkthrough, we will show you the operation of the RV systems, document any damage, note the fuel levels and mileage, help you hook it up to your tow vehicle (if applicable) and answer any questions you may have about the unit.  Please review your ‘Welcome Guide’ prior to arriving and allow 30-60 minutes for the walkthrough.

How does insurance work?

You will be required to pick from one of three insurance options with varying costs. These policies cover physical damage to the rented RV due to covered accidents, along with liability protection. Coverage limits and deductibles vary depending on which package you choose as renter. These details and prices will be clearly presented during the booking process, before you commit to a rental. Interior damage to an RV during a rental period is covered by a separate optional policy or by the security deposit and any overages are the responsibility of the renter. Normal wear and tear, maintenance, personal affects, or mechanical issues are excluded.

If you want to verify what coverage your personal insurance may cover on a rental, please check with your insurance agent or carrier.

What supplies are included with my reservation?

Each unit comes water (if needed), enough propane for your trip and a full gas tank (if applicable). We include plastic utensils, plastic cups, paper plates, paper bowls, trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels and cleaning supplies.
